  • Lil Wayne Didn't Plan To Return With '6 Foot 7 Foot' Video.

The visual for Lil Wayne's "6 Foot 7 Foot" will premiere on MTV on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET during the special presentation "MTV First: Lil Wayne," but if things were up to Weezy, his first video since he left prison might have been a cut from his last album and not the lead single to the forthcoming Carter IV LP.

MTV News sat down with Wayne during the "6 Foot" video shoot in Miami, and the New Orleans lyricist said he initially planned to crank out another clip from, in his opinion, the underrated I Am Not a Human Being album.

"Thanks to the fans, it still went gold. That's with one video or something like that and really no promotion," he said. " 'Cause when I came home, first thing I was telling [manager Cortez Bryant], I was like, 'Let's capitalize, let's shoot another video off of it.' He was like, 'You know, it might be a little too late right now.' I was like, 'I'm Wayne! It ain't never too late.' "

While Weezy wasn't ready to accept the idea that releasing additional videos from Human Being wasn't a viable option, he ultimately sidestepped the issue by churning out the buzzed-about Bangladesh-helmed burner "6 Foot," which is the first single from Wayne's long-awaited Carter IV.

"Then that's when I recorded '6 Foot 7 Foot,' and he was like, 'Let's shoot a video to that,' " he recalled.

In the meantime, Wayne and his associates have largely remained mum on the concept of the video, but Weezy's videographer DJ Scoob Doo recently assured MTV News that the forthcoming clip will make a creative impact.

"I would love to tell everybody the concept, but there will be people trying to get the idea and put it out before '6 Foot 7 Foot' drops," he said. "But once people see the '6 Foot 7 Foot,' I guarantee that it's going to be a game changer."

His manager was probably secretly thinkin' "Its not worth makin' videos for I Am Not A Human Being cuz it would just be a waste of money..." So good thing he ain't gonna b wastin' mo' damn time on dat shit. And mo' work on C4.
