Because they're most likely small minded people who probably think all African Americans is Christian- Pentecostal or maybe because its the type of music he make. Wayne is from the N.O. where there is lots a Haitians (from my understanding) and most Haitians are Catholic.

i like weezy cuz of his music no matter what religion he belongs to.. so i think whoever was surprised is small minded and ignorant cuz religion just has nothin to dowith art
