This exactly. I swear anytime I say a Wayne song or verse is just okay, I get called a hater haha. His verse was just okay, a couple good lines. The rest was eh.

No, people are starting to see that Wayne went downwards after C3. That ain't got nothing to do with hate.

But I agree, Wayne killed them on their own song.

C3 was his lowest point lyrically and flow wise and yall ate it up.

No Ceilings>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>C3 in lyrics and flow. To be honest the only verses I remember from light up are Jay and Wayne's and Wayne did better. Drake's wasnt up to par. Not many verses on his album were at all.

^ LMAO, you can't be serious.

Some songs on C3 actually got substance like Dr. Carter, Tie My Hands, Shoot me Down etc. Something that was nowhere to be found on No Ceilings, except for I'm Single.
Phone Home was more creative than all the songs on No Ceilings together.

Substance is not found on a mixtape...

and I'm talking about lyrical skill and flow. Wayne raps better on mixtapes than his albums. This is well known. Phone home is not creative whatsoever. "Feel like dying" is about a million times more creative than Phone home. Shoot some of his lines on random mixtape songs show me more creativity than Phone home. Whats creative about phone home?

are you really serious? he was freely rapping over beats not trying to make a NEW song on someone else is beat LOL... so you think he went downhill on Drought 3 becuz it had no substance? smh

Re: who had the best verse on light up remix?

^ Good lyrics have substance imo. So you can't say that No Ceilings was better than C3 lyric-wise.
Anyway, I don't think you can even compare an album with a mixtape.

You're right you can't traditionally but with Wayne its kinda different. He's known for those free association, creative, potent verses. He did that better on No Ceilings IMO. I see ur point that C3 had better SONGS as a whole though.

If Wayne Re-Records It It Would Be Hella Dope.
