Re: Where do you rank Lil Wayne in the All time list?
He's probably number 1 for me.
I like a lot of other artist, but excluding a few others Wayne is one of the only people who's career I have followed.(Even though I still haven't heard a few albums) I think I enjoy Wayne as a person just as much as I enjoy the music. I really like Pac's music, and Biggie was good. Even though I like their stuff I think it may have come to a point where if you listen to rap it's like a "must" to like them, or to consider them the best. Same for Jay-Z, Eminem, and Kanye. The public gets a generalized opinion, and people just follow. Some people probably have never heard or don't like music from the "GOAT" but they wouldn't admit it.
Outside of Wayne and the few others i'm pretty much free lance when it comes to music. I'm just as willing to listen to the next rock star as the next rapper. At least I do my best to be such a way.

At least you give some points. But not enough.
I mean yeah Tupac is overrated for some reason. But he had an impact in the game 1993-1996.Has Weezy a bigger impact historically than Tupac? And what about Rakim,RUN-DMC,KRS-1 at the late 80's,Big Daddy Kane....?Let alone Eminem who is perhaps the strongest GOAT candidate.
Hip-Hop has a lot of greats.
To consider Weezy the GOAT you have to think first if he is more important historically as a rapper than all the greats....
I understand that many of you are 15-20 years old and Weezy is your favorite rapper but imo it's blasphemy to consider him the Greatest rapper ever.I put him in the Top-20(#15-20) and I feel very generous.
Εminem,Rakim,Nas,Big Daddy Kane,RUN-DMC,Public Enemy,Kool G Rap,KRS-1,Tupac,Biggie,Jay-Z,Wu-Tang Clan,Eazy-E,Ice-Cube and many other legendary rappers.
Im 17 just so you know lol.
But I just don't view any of the guys you listed as better than Wayne. Yeah their great and all, but were they loved by as broad of a group of people as Wayne is today? No. Again they were great rappers but IMO when you talk about the greatest rapper of all time you have to consider not only the music but the influence on the game, overall likeability, and influence on music in general.
Yes all of those guys had lots of influence on todays rappers(like Tupac to Wayne) but did Tupac CHANGE the whole rap game? IMO he didn't. I dont think we realize it but Wayne's influence on every single rappers music is clear. I was listening to Em the other day and I heard one line and thought: "Man that's a Wayne-ish type of lyric...". (Im talking about the 'Im ___ like ___' and all those type of lines).
Im probably rambling because like Wayne I just 'got in the both and started rappin' but the last thing I want to say is:
The rapper's you listed were mostly from a number of years ago. For like the 3rd time, they were VERY good but what if you put Wayne back in their time?
If you don't get what Im saying think of a sports comparison....If you put MJ or Kobe or LBJ back in 1920's basketball (before the game really advanced and people got alot stronger and bigger) they would dominate.
I think that if you did the same thing to a guy like Wayne, or Em or Jay for that matter, they would dominate the rap game. I think Wayne is so advanced now and has had so much more musical experience that he would blow away any of the legends of the game in their prime. He could easily go back to spitting like he did on C1/C2 because that would be more the style that would be going on......
Anyway's I dont feel like typing anymore....sorry if you got lost because I rambled!
