good lines, can't hate on weezy. but redundant ass supa dupa flow, like ol boy said above, recycled, overused punchlines, and his flow sounds the same in most songs except a few. c3 wasnt all that but its better than c4
I love this album. Guess I'm not 'cool' like all you other guys.
No, that means that you have different taste of music then most of us. Nothing bad about that. I would've wanted to love the album as much as you do, 'cuz now I'm stuck with an album by my fav. artist that I don't even like that much..
I got Summer hating on me cause I'm hotter than the sun
Got Spring hating on me cause I ain't never sprung
Winter hating on me cause I'm colder than ya'll
And I would never, I would never, I would never Fall
I'm being hated by the seasons, so fuck ya'll who hatin for no reason!
Becaaause,we waited for so long and expected something great... and he hyped it alot. The album had too many features. Songs like how to hate, two shots,i like the view shouldn't even exist. The lyrics on songs like John,So special,I got some money on me are lame even tho the beats and flow is awesome. He used an old beat on megaman. Blunt Blowin was a cool song with an insane beat and flow,Mirror was the only deep song,President carter was supposed to be deep but it wasn't.. also he should've talked about some real shit.. like he did in the speech.
Nightmares of the bottom wasn't poetry as Wayne thought he was.. it was a good song but Wayne overrates it too much.
I love this album. Guess I'm not 'cool' like all you other guys.
I don't love this album but I like it. It's not Wayne's best but there are some good tracks and I still listen to it. I don't see anything uncool about it.
There are very few albums that I like from intro to outro, Tha Carter is one of them (apart from skits). In most cases, there are tracks that I like less and I skip them, that's the case of Tha Carter IV. As long as there are more tracks I like than the ones I dislike, I consider an album good. And I didn't get bored of it yet, which is also positive.
The thing that bothers me the most is the fact that the best features have no Wayne on them. Damn, I was hoping to get a Weezy & Tech song. Intro, Interlude & Outro should be one long track with all the features and Wayne dropping some good verses.
