Re: Weezy's legacy
After Weezy retires, hes gonna be considered not only one of the best rappers ever, but probaly one of the best musical artists ever. He's just so diverse, he can do any type of song and its gonna be a hit, alot of artisits especially, rap artists, cant do a rock, r&b, singing type of songs and have the same outcome as Weezy. Wayne will be remembered for a very long time, hes gonna be one of those artists when were all old and shit and we still gonna be bumping him and saying this dude was amazing. I know for a fact ima be listeniong to Wayne probaly my whole life, his music just doesnt get boring

Re: Weezy's legacy
I'm thinking he has all the stuff or money he or his kids could ever need -- but maybe more of the general public need to hear what he has to say. Some of the basic stuff like about being misunderstood (and that's ok as long as you know who you are) - or hoping you're heaven sent and hell-proof...maybe even i'm the shit, get the F@#* out of my toilet....LOL! One of my favorites is his (w/eminen).....I'm gonna pick the world up & drop it on your f#*&'ing head! It's good that he has mainstreamed some of his stuff - it can't all be played on air but that's the only way some people might bother to listen to the rest. I laughed myself to tears the first time I heard Pu##y Monster! He's building a legacy that won't soon be forgotten. I liked his How to Love song as soon as it hit the air...then I heard the one about How to Hate and now don't know which I like most. I don't think he has to be pure rap and especially not predictable - that wouldn't be him.

Y'all forgot who was the hook master, every hook he was in was a master piece.
The rap monster, that always kills every feature he been in, always kills the rappers in their on songs.
The mixtape king, that every song he gets in turns to be like part 2 of the song, if not even being better than the original.
Maybe Wayne now ain't wat he was before, but wat he did before is still getting remembered and that's why I say this man IS in my Top 3.

My Books... Top 10.
Usually, I co-sign on some shit like I have something better to say. Yet those words are precise.
Reading each I thought to myself like.. I simply speechlessly agree.

Also keep in mind. The most controversial's rival. Jigga IMO is the only alive arguly better than Wayne.
IMO:
Wayne > Jay-Z
But since Wayne plans to retire at 35... what will he possibly accomplish between now & that?
..? Can the Carter Series emmensely overshadow the BluePrint series.Tha Carter IV vs. Watch The Throne ???

Re: Weezy's legacy
Wayne is an interesting case. I think right now he's in the top 20 maybe top 15. I think he has a chance to be top 10 maybe top 5, but he has to have classic albums that are lyrically classic. Though many consider carter 3 and some carter 2 to be classic lyrically they cant be put with ready to die or the blueprint 1 or illmatic.
He has a lot of oppurtunities to do this but his best bet is probably the collab with drake and carter albums completely produce by kanye or swizz beats/just blaze etc
kanye has 2 classics maybe even 3 and the rest of his albums are good to great
jay z has 2 classics
Nas has "greatest hip hop album of all time" plus 3+ great albums
pac has 1or 2, with the others being great
biggie has 2
eminem has 2
rakim has 2/3
big L has 1/2
big pun has 1/2
andre 3000 has 1/2
not to mention: ice cube, raekwon, redman, slick rick, and also upcoming artists like kendrick and cole who will have a couple by the end of their careers.
Wayne has a near classic in carter 2, great album carter 1, great album carter 3. Good albums: 500 degrees, lights out, the block is hot. mediocre/average: rebirth, i am not a human being. It's really the mixtapes + features that make his argument so far, but that wont be enough for top 10. He has time though, just gotta keep improving.
