It isn't trash, it's just the worst Carter album out of the series. I still listen to a few of the tunes on there but even them much less than other stuff, I think I play some S4TW tunes more.

It was a let down sadly, but hopefully next project will be a lot more of an improvement, and it should be if we are to go by his more recent features. Just dying or a single or something.

Carter IV was alright.. Worst of all Tha Carter's but it was still okay.

Why are some people in here talking about Carter 1 as if that was a bad album or something? Often times I think it's better than C2, but I still give C2 the nod. His lyrics was the rawest on C1 though. To answer the question though, C4 really ain't that bad to me. Could've did without a few songs, and I wish he would come across like he's putting forth more effort, but I like it better than C3. C3 is the worst Carter to me, but the hype and anticipation around it make it a classic though. It's weird, but I'd bump C4 before I bump most of the songs on C3 as of now.

Tha Carter IV is obviously full of Weezy trying to reach out to a new audience, probably a success in that sense... But for me, someone who keeps C1-3 turned up everyday, it was a disappointment.

Excactly. As said previously, C4 isn't a bad album. It's just the "worst" of the Carters in my opinion.
