I doubt he is incapable of doing what he did in 2006... but he just chose not to. He is more popular and making way more money now, so he probable doesnt see the point of going back! Just my opinion

I think "Weezy" (07 and before I'm assuming you're talking about) would still sale regardless if he did rap the way he used to.



But to answer the question... Wayne currently could probably go back to how he was (assuming he went heavily on weed, syrup, stopped skating, and moved back to New Orleans).. but the old Wayne rapping how Wayne rapped in Imma Boss remix for example?... Nah the mentality he had back then wouldn't have allowed that verse to slip by... "I just fucked an avatar, now I got a blue dick".. Yeah he wouldn't have done that.

This argument needs to stop now and all the comparison's. He's the same guy just changed to stay relevant. You can't have Wayne skating around and then rapping 05-08 stuff. People would call him out for being "fake" in his raps if he was going around skating and then spitting C2 Lines.
