the macklemore song is talking about rejection of overly-label conscious clothing choices. Actually listen to the song and analyze it before just deeming it comical. i agree its funny in some aspects but the song has a deeper meaning. listen to the entire album, especially "same love". amazing song.

actual lyricists like kendrick lupe kanye eminem nas
Mackelmore is an internet fad, Nas & Em are washed up and will never reach the success they once has, Lupe's too crazy so no one checking for him, Kendrick learned from Wayne and that's the only reason he knows how to make the successful songs he does.

and why did you faggot ass censor fa**** on a forum?

lol didnt want to offend people but in all honesty, was the biggest wayne fan up to carter iii but then he sucked. honestly i believe kendrick had an album better than anything wayne put out EVER. sure he learned from him and he was influenced by him, so was j. cole and other rappers, but their styles are much different than wayne. and honestly if u think nas is washed up then u dont kno anything bout rap. his last album was the best rap album after kendricks. eminem wont achieve the same success he once had? his last album sold over 10 million copies and he's still considered the goat. and lupe too crazy? mabye but his lyrics are on point and has a goal and subject with each and every song. i wud love to hear a NEW wayne song where he doesn't skip from one idea to another and actually holds onto a subject. rap isnt always about pussy money and weed. and thats what wayne has become now. i respect him for his grind but he did fall off. anyone who says different is either living in the past or in denial.

It's pretty obvious that Wayne fell off, long ago. The question is not whether he makes bad music (which he does in my opinion, but whatever). It's whether his music is good compared to his older stuff.

Take a film director - Kubrick made Full Metal Jacket and Eyes Wide Shut after The Shining. FMJ and EWS were good films - but compared to Dr. Strangelove or Space Odyssey, they were nothing.

That's what Wayne is like. There's no comparing Rebirth, C4, Sorry 4 the Wait to DD3, Dedication 2, Wayne's old features etc.

Commercially, he's pretty much thriving, though.

I think people have Wayne twisted on both sides, I still love and listen to Wayne but I wont try to argue him the best "rapper" out right now because well hes not. It depends on categories of songs, i.e. if I want to listen to some substantial lyrics I'll pump some kendrick, Jcole, Lupe, etc. If I'm in the mood to here some hype songs Ill play some Wayne, Tyga or Meek etc. Its almost impossible to decide "whos on top".

That being said, I still think Wayne is one of the best PUNCHLINE rappers around, on top with people like Fabolous and will continue to sell. Will he fall off? Probably in the underground because hip hop heads are always concerned with whats new, but he'll always be Weezy and people like me while always listen to him when your in that kind of mood.

U stupid? All it takes is for Chris Brown to do one new video with rihanna and the teens are on him. Not like they aint on him now

Him and rihanna are very marketable right now
Nigga his first single just dropped and nobody is even talking about it

Home aint his first single nigga..

It's just a question of promotion. But he hasn't fallen off cuz everything he does is publicized. Good or bad, he has press. Falling off means NOBODY cares about you

Even Wayne had Rebirth that didnt sell shit, INAHB aswell, then came back and sold a milli w. C4

So get that shit outa here. You just personally hate chris brown

Nigga I ain't got no hate for CB, I could care less what that nigga life about or what he do. And I already said that he gonna be lurking around for awhile, but that nigga music career ain't coming back.

And bruh I don't give a fuck what his first single is or when his album come out, I'm looking down Atrilli's page and see "Chris Brown - Home" "This will serve as the first single to Chris Brown’s upcoming sixth studio album Carpe Diem coming later this year." Then i'm gonna believe that it's his first single. And i actually enjoyed Dueces, Look At Me Now and for a lil minute I enjoyed Turn Up the Music, but tbh that nigga ain't doing nothing special.

Well it's not, of course. The main reason C4 sold so well is because it had a few hits, its apart of a legendary series and people were hungry for some new Wayne music.

This album however, has only 1 "minor" hit and is a sequel to an album that people didn't pay too much attention to. Plus C4 turned out to be a big disappointment, so many people dropped off of Wayne.
