Just cause lil wayne may use the freestyle, pause, freestyle pause method, doesnt mean he is more intelligent, its just means he dont like to take the time to write out his rhymes. He prolly likes to capture the raw emotion at the exact time he feels a certian beat, its just a technique he decides to use.

I used this technique as well, its fun, but my raps do come out less lyrical then when i sit down and write.

I aint wanna comment but Wayne's interviews alone show how well-spoken and intelligent he is. His fucking answers, even in some interviews currently, sound like some fucking Wisdom of the Day type shit. Wayne is intelligent as a person and when making his songs. Not knocking Em down but really man, the shit Wayne's done is insane. Yeah Eminem freestyles, that's mainly fast-paced thinking and being able to quickly grasp words to fit the situation which takes a lot of intelligence, but even with Wayne's lack of that form of freestyle, he has his own style and it's crazy what he comes up with.

See... Wayne's rhymes are basic? Try "Deathwish" with Jadakiss... And I've SEEN niggas point out "Oh Wayne forces words to rhyme" but when fucking Eminem rhymes "Spaghetti" with "forgetting" it's all cool. Hypocrites man. Anyway Wayne has several songs with rhyme schemes like that and "rhymes within rhymes".
