Lil wayne's hip hop genre ( peolpe get confused)

Wayne started off as a gangsta rapper which obviously correlates to when he started rapping, the 90s where gangsta rap was heavy, and Wayne had like a "gritty" unique feel to his. Carter 2 is, to me, him in his rawest gangsta form mainly because of Lock & Load.

BUT Wayne, unlike some that stay to one "type" of Hip Hop, was able to successfully branch off to all aspects of the genre. Not only has he done that, but he completely mastered Hip Hop as a whole, grew bored with it, and branched out into rock/r&b/pop.

Thing is with J.Cole, Kendrick, Eminem, etc... they aren't as versatile as Wayne, and that is what people fail to see. Can Jay-Z create a pop track by himself and make it sound good? No. Can J.Cole/Kendrick create gangsta rap verses and have it backed up with Wayne's delivery? Nah. Can Eminem create an insanely monumental drugged out song such as I Feel Like Dying or work with trap beats? Nope.

Wayne's an overall well-rounded artist. Picture a game where you have a character or car that is well-rounded... but then you got a character/car that's fast, but bad defenses.. or high defenses, but bad speed. Wayne's that one well-rounded person in all aspects.

You don't think that em, cole , and kdot can one day become a rapper like 2chainz and just dumb down their lyrics complelty over mainstream beats? Wayne has gangster roots, its true, but obviosuly he aint pulling the shots for himself no more. a rapper like lupe isnt going to make a club hit like "Bitches Love Me" not because he is unable to , or he lacks the talent, but because it isnt him, he isnt going to, thats not the fanbase he wants to reach. People would lose respect for him, just the way ppl lost respect for wayne.

K.Dot ain't THAT new but he started off as a carbon copy of Wayne with his mixtape the nigga basically idolized him and obv Wayne has influences on him. His album GKMC is insanely great, which brings up two problems: 1) a whole bunch of faggots like you that claim he's the greatest rapper alive/GOAT/better than Jay-Z/Kanye/Wayne overall and 2) he basically hurt himself. You know how fucking hard it'll be to top GKMC? If he comes up with his 2nd album and it ends up being worse hit won't look good. J.Cole's Born Sinner is really great and he's impressive but his lack of work ethic is sad. Give him about 5 years and tell me he won't change from now... he'll have to break the boundaries and be a big hit sooner or later.

4) So you could say the same shit about anyone that has gained insane success and became a huge music icon. Obviously he said he likes Wolf Gang, or was sort of big on them around 2011, but he prolly wanted other interests so he could make it thru probation or was just interested in it. They not the only ones that fucking did shit like that.

5) No there's certain things he can't do that Wayne could. Could he do I Feel Like Dying? Me And My Drank? Tha Mobb? No. Wayne's his own person. And Wayne is a southern rapper that was pushing the boundaries. Some fail to realize that coming from where he came, gaining the respect from people from all parts of the US and worldwide was something that would feel so rewarding. Carter 3 allowed him to do just that on a worldwide scale with Lollipop. Wayne loves trying new things and testing his limits, he has a "does not give a fuck" attitude, etc.
