Man nothin' about the first 6 songs of C4 were trash. Maybe he intro was a little off, but Blunt Blowin' was obviously doing something right if its went platinum. That beginning 6 songs is far from weak, IMO. Same with C3, and it's hard to compare the 2 as they had a pretty lengthy gap between the two and styles and times had changed by then...

Carter iV is crap. Mr carter beat over all of the songs on carter IV.
Mississippi x California x North Carolina

I don't know how so many people love that song. Maybe it's because of the chorus... because it sure as hell ain't cos of the rhyming. Cringe worthy bars on that one, it sounds like a middle school kid wrote it. C4 intro and blunt blowin were super lazy and corny, raised a real red flag ( no pun intended lol) straight from the get-go.

Megaman, 6 ft 7 ft and nightmares were a pretty dope 3-song run tho. She will was just ok IMO. Saved by its hook really, cos Wayne's lyrics on that were typical c4 garbage.

On the other side of the coin: The first leg of c3 was just flawless. I know it was poppy (got money) and lyrically goofy (comfortable) at times but that's all part of its charm. 3 peat thru dr carter is one of the best opening stretches of any album ever.
                  Blunt Blowin had great lyrics

Blunt Blowin' was dope imo, The intro wasn't the best but still not that bad? And the middle school kid comment.. You took that from Worldstarhiphop or some shit right..? Typical hater comment.

Megaman, 6 Foot, 7 Foot, Nightmares were all dope! And so was She Will! C4 wasn't Wayne's best work, lyrically or other wise. But typical C4 trash? Come on man..

C4 was good and not near as bad people said.. Thought we solved that long time ago..

For me it's C3 > C4, pretty much everyone will say that! 3 Peat, A Milli, Mr. Carter & Dr. Carter, nothing can fuck with that!
Believe me, I'm not a hater! I have forgiven weezy over and over and over for all of his lyrical flops. I have defended him endlessly and I will continue buying anything he puts out and always trying to find the best in what he does. I actually loved C4 when it came out because it was just new weezy and it was c4 after all... it was dope a lot of the time... It just didn't age well for me. First time I went back to my 2006-2008 peak shit I smh and was like "maybe c4 ain't that great after all... Fuck"

It was a really shitty moment too. I don't think I got the middle school comment from anyone else but I read all the same reviews most of y'all do and it was a long time ago, so maybe that comment stuck with me. I honestly don't know. It just strikes me as amateur writing. It's so slow paced and simple.. Coming from a guy who used to twist words into unimaginable shapes! (And still does!)

I just think c4 intro and blunt blowin are very lazy, shitty songs. Like I said tho, I love megaman, 6'7' and nightmares... Amazing tracks, always be favorites. I will never deny that C4 was a decent album, it just wasn't up to his usual standard. I don't think anyone could really argue that.

It was the reverse for me. I loved it when it dropped for like 6 months to a year... Then the more I listened to my old favorites the more I realized it wasn't as good as I thought. I'm the biggest wayne apologist in the world, trust me. I just know what I like... And I've found that his more recent releases don't have the same staying power the old ones do. I always get really excited upfront, hearing all the new punch lines and shit, but that doesn't last like truly good songs. IANAHB2 was fun as hell when it came out but now I hear it and I'm like ughhh this just isn't great...

I think D5 is a different story tho. Hope so anyway. I really love D4 and I can't even explain why. That one gets more hate than anything but I think he was on fire there - just in a new way. Don't care what anyone says, he was INTO those raps. People said he wasn't interested in making music because it had that twitchy fast flow and some lame bars, but he was spitting so many and so fast that there was plenty of fire there to go around!!

Honestly, all I ask for in my weezy is for him to sound like he's enjoying himself and to put a little more work on his bars than he was doing for awhile. If I enjoy 50% of a wayne project I consider it a success, which is just like whatever. Just how it is these days.

Yeah but the lyrics on those song tho!! Don't think i'm arguing with you, everybody got their own taste and opinions. But to call those songs garbage is just being stupid..

When are people gonna stop compare his new songs with his old.. You forgave him for what?? What you talking bout? Just listen to the songs you like and don't listen to the ones you don't like, it's that simple..

C4 wasn't his usual standard? Comparing with C3 again? C3 was released in 2008 and C4 in 2011.. 3 years between, you really expected the same quality lyrically? He released Rebirth & IANAHB before C4 so tbh, he stepped his game up! If C4 wasn't named C4 people wouldn't compare it as much with C3 and more people would've thought it was good.. That's the truth..
