(I mean signed ) It sounds so fucked up but i think they forced him to make this. i think they forced this whole year. Everything he did in 2015 sounded pre-cordinated in a kind of way. the autotune is brilliant, but i just feel so bad for this nigga dawg, you can TELLX he just sick of everything, yeah we getting a lot of music than usual, but i don't think wayne wanted to do all of that..i'm startin to get really mad just thinking about this so i'ma quit, but the constant reliance of overusing autotune tells me I'm right about this. they working this man like he a machine/ some kind of robot, that's what he trying to tell us with that, it NEVER sounded off-key before this year, I'm catchin every signal this nigga throwin

thats interesting, but i cant imagine wayne being so contrived in that way.. like if hes capable of an underlying theme like that.. then he should be able to put together a coherent 12 song project..

mostly i think, no ceilings 2 really didnt mean that much to him. just another opportunity to put out some music under a banner people recognise. my feeling is he plucked records that he was working and threw it together, but a lot of these songs couldve fit elsehwere.

when i look at the tracklisting i see a few different projects.

NC2 = back to back, my name is, where ya at, im nice, jumpman, finessin, live from the gutter, big wings, too young, lil bitch, no days off, the hills

Young money album = Duck, crystal ball

Dedication 6 = , poppin, destroyed, no reason, plastic bag

i think a wayne thinking deeply, and making a concerted effort to leave a message would be better off spreading his music,, instead of making it really hard to digest..

i know for sure, id rather have 3 really strong smaller projects.. than 1 big messy project..

      • I feel like Wayne’s trying to make his music sound more in line with modern trends, e.g. autotune, singing/rapping, etc. but the way he’s been doing it recently doesn’t really work for him.

Wayne’s been doing autotune way before 2015 and I can definitely hear how the newer guys are influenced by him, but they’ve explored the trend way more than Wayne has and know how to use it better, so now Wayne’s playing catchup, IMO

But T-Pain actually knew how to sing. Wayne didn't. At all.

You didnt knew tpain could sing without autotune till like a year or so. But anyway, I'm not talking about singing. I'm talking about mastering autotune.

The difference is that pain uses it while singing and wayne while he is rapping

This is true. And nothing frustrated me more when Wayne tried to be melodious. Even on Damn, Damn, what stands out is how drugged out and euphoric the atmosphere/vibe of the track gets when he starts mumbling unintelligibly and incessantly. Guilty pleasure, but T-Pain still used it the best out of everyone in this generation. Roger Troutman > Everybody though.
