All I gotta say to this is. Hell no.
They can do all they can do but they cant break unbreakable. They scared to face the truth cause they hate the view.

Mainstream yes, everything else wise no. His album leftovers (besides C3) can be pretty hit and miss too but that's the reason why some didn't make it so I don't count 'em

I think the best way to look at it is you can’t please EVERYBODY every time once your fan base is large enough. C4 and on he had so many fans that half would like one project while the other half criticized it and so on... that’s the only way I would say he is “hit or miss” just toward certain demographics.

Definitely. He has duds and gems literally next to each other in his albums.

Depends on what sort of Lil Wayne fan you're talking to. He does so much that there's no way everyone will like every project as much as the last. Even if there is one which it seems like most people dislike he usually comes out with something every few months so it doesn't really matter. Whenever I see people saying they hate a Wayne project there are as many people saying they love it. Part of the reason he is who he is.

I'd say musically 'controversial' more than 'hit & miss'.
