Lol so true. People be sayin c5 was his most mature album, it for sure had a lot of corny sht

Tbh c4 is not as bad as we make it out to be musically. The only songs I don’t really like are she will and blunt blowin. every other song is dope to tolerable. So special wasn’t a good performance but the beat is good I can listen to it.

And I take back my comment on the musically and lyrically c5 being better. It for sure is lyrically better but musically c4 has dope production which lowkey beats by c5 by a good margin for most of the album. Half of c5s production was lowkey average

Lol well like 5-6 songs. And kinda 7. But thts a good third of the album I can’t listen to. C4 is like a fifth of the album I can’t listen to

And it’s shorter. That really makes all the difference
I really love the discussion people are having on this subject I must say. President Carter is thematically dark as hell but it's got a motivation behind it, C5 has a lot of dark emotional songs that lack motivation or a point to benefit or point something out that can change the world (In my opinion) Same with Novacane, It's so dope how he related drug addiction / problems with drug use to a relationship. That's intriguing and actually thought provoking.

Another vote for C4. Hype for C5 had long since died down when it finally dropped. And as they tend to do now in this era of short musical attention spans people moved on quickly, that's my perception anyway. Wayne was also obviously a lot more commercially relevant back then.

I think like alot of stuff with Wayne and in general, C5 will not have the impact it should until many years down the road when people finally wake up and appreciate it, ie. after he dies or something, which I hate even saying out loud

Honestly I feel like C4 had a huge impact despite C5 being miles better. I just feel like people don't talk too much about C5 already, outside of like groups of Weezy fans like here. Which is a shame because I think some of his best work to date is on the final C5. People really love dunking on that joint because of the OG leak, but it's still so good.

Both have a lot of garbage on it BUT

              C4 peaks are better
Come on bruh that’s not proper promo. I mean it is in a way, but not in a sense of commercials, ads, guest appearances, and singles for almost a year.

You a damn fool if you think they’re comparable.

Hell naw. Niggaz was eatin Wayne alive before C5. I remember smh’n damn near every day bc a lot of folks was still actin like D6 wasn’t fire.

D6 curbed it some, but now like if you go to YT the hate on Wayne features is way down. Now niggaz will actually acknowledge him as the GOAT again. That started dying down after S4TW and C4 tbh

Lil Wayne, Drake, Chance the Rapper, Skooly, Rich Homie Quan, 2 Chainz.

I guess that’s true. Especially for the big songs. I def remember around 2015 though people were getting back on the Wayne train. Especially his fans. And I felt around 2017 the general population came around. Such as songs like my corner and dropping seeds. But yeah I guess c5 turned the corner for a big group. that’s how important uproar was...People lowkey forgot how dope Wayne music is.

C4 had more impact. C5 is lyrically miles ahead tho and I enjoy it way more.

That's so interesting, I didn't know that. I typically think of C4 as having very good production even if a bit weaker in other ways. Production is not one of the reasons I personally consider C5 to be the better album

If Detox came out tonight at Midnight
It would be number 1 next week

                          Of course they aren’t comparable
