All alone It was the beats. Not Wayne. Wayne never lost it. Lyrically that album is good. He flowin on trash beats

Beats or not, I think Wayne purposely butchered that album or at the very least didn't try hard at all because they scrapped the OG version. After the Till controversy where Wayne lost the Mtn. Dew sponsorship among other things, I think they made him scrap the dark raw version we got on the Grails and re-recorded a new album with a quarter of the effort. The timeline matches up and Wayne would've only had like a month to come up with some fresh concepts. I love both versions, but the Grails are definitely the project Wayne intended to release before the controversy happened. Speaking of which, need that GB link for the OG Intro whenever GWG is ready again lmao.
