All of hip-hip is for younger people though. You don't go to rap concerts and see 45 year olds jamming out. I still love some hip-hop but as you get older you eventually appreciate actual artists and other genres.

If Dr Dre did a concert today, what age of the people would you think would go to it ?

But I do agree with what you are saying =)

I don't fully agree on this. Of course the flashy lifestyle stuff and drugs and bitches appeal to younger audiences
But the struggle, violence, finally ascending those circumstances and adressing emotions and introspective thoughts is what makes it appealable to almost every age class
(to an extend - obviously excessive cussing and stuff makes it unappealable to the older generation that is still alive, but I think our generation will still listen to, at least in part, "mature" Hip-Hop since grew up with it)

It really makes a part of me sad cause there was a time where I solely listened to Lil' Wayne and foolishly thought that would stay forever like this. I always appreciated other artists and genres but there was just so much music and he also had that mature music
back then (e.g. Do It Again, Trouble, Georgia Bush, his feature on Hollywood Divorce [...])
but imo he really made steps back in terms of the diversity idk. Man said it himself:
"I've graduated from hungry and made it to greedy"

Guess this is just more fun for him and he really don't want to do the introspective stuff as much or they won't let him release it heck idk

That’s why I liked C5. It had a lot of personal/introspective songs on there.

and when he's doing introspective stuff nowadays it's him singing and being melodic. I need something like Open Letter, Do It Again, Killing Me, Trouble, Amen, Pray To The Lord etc.

wayne was meant to grow into something completely different not to say every single song needs to be serious and introspective but just rapping his age for example bb king or la la la snippet both of those showcase the heights wayne can reach with his current age/sound with good production FWA and C5 were great for this reason also he rapped his age and his style and wasnt emulating something his not eg shitty trap imitations like bing james

this is why i want velvet so he can focus on a topic on his songs and have a consistent theme it will do wonders for his current approach to music
