Everyone should remain calm. The tournament will start whenever the winner of Tha Studio Tournament is announced. So be looking for a new thread with the details in a few days.

Remember, Tha Studio Tournament didn't start until around a week after sign-ups were completed. So for those of you who want to drop out, drop out, nobody is stopping you, it makes no difference.

The deadline is after the super bowl is over. So we need a couple more sign-ups.

Update: I will not be extending the deadline past tonight. If you are not signed up by tonight, your loss. If we don't have 16 people then depending on how you are seeded you may have a first round by. So lets get this 16 so we can make it a great first tournament.

Yes to add on to that. I suggest if your so impatient and have things to do, just drop out. Its not so much a threat as it is a relief for us, its better to have active people in this tournament than people that enter and dont take part.

UPDATE ON THE TOURNAMENT:

I have written the rules for each round. Each round is different to make sure there is no cheating. And I can't wait until the finals, it should be really intense.

The official tournament start date is Friday, February 12, 2010.

There will only be one thread made for the Official Written Tournament. So be on the look out for that soon.

Prizes are still being discussed, so stay tuned for that. Don't expect any money. Probably a userbar and something else since this is only the first tournament. Maybe there will be paid tournaments in the future, but not now.

I was thinkin about that 5 minutes ago lol... I was also thinkin that maybe Artille, who is organizing this and shit, and doesnt participate could get like 10 % of the total wins... ?

btw... that wouldnt work with me... cause my country doesnt support paypal I can donate money, but not receive. pretty fucked up for someone who wants to be a producer and sell beats online... FML

Actually Skim, I believe the paid tournament thing was my idea, I posted about it in the Staff section. But who cares, it doesn't really matter who came up with it first.

The minute the Super Bowl ends no one else may enter. If you don't have an opponent in round one you will have a bye, it's just that simple. The reason I'm not starting this until Friday is because of Wayne going to jail. The forums are going to be packed and I'm gonna have a lot of modding to do in the Lil Wayne section, along with EastsideBoi and the Global mods.

@Fredd - 10% sounds good to me lol. But in reality Tha Studio needs a lot more active people to have anything like a paid tournament.

As of now, you and Bliss have a first round bye because of the way the bracket is set up.

EDIT: Bliss no longer has a first round bye lol, now that dpl signed up.

round bye, means he's out? if so, I think it's unfair... maybe we could do some kind of sorting... like everybody would post his/her verse, and we would decide the 5 best... than the 2 best... you knwo what I'm saying? that in case we don't have 16 people.

A first round bye means he does not have an opponent for that round, so he automatically gets to go to the second round. The only reason it is fair is because he was the first person to sign up. If we get a 16th person then he will no longer have a first round bye.
