He ain't gonna blow up. They want/need sales. Drake was perfect, upcoming rapper from Toronto, who can rap and sing.

I don't see anyone they sign anymore to blow up like Drake or Nick did.

lol true, in their defense though, i think it's more of giving young and/or talented artists a shot and helping them develop, not necessarily about sales. I mean, altogether, they're building a strong, well rounded team.
But I see where you're coming from, all the moves they're making do seem random and pointless
