I think she was just trying at first to achieve that popular Lady Gaga status. Then she starts dropping some rap shit to prove she still got it.
I don't mind her doing pop songs now and then (Starships was actually enjoyable after a couple listens), but don't give us that Stupid Hoe shit again I swear to God, that shit was so fucking terrible.
