I think he's just starting out and barely. He was underground before he linked up with Birdman, I don't think anyone really knew him when he was with 1017. I was watching an interview Slim did, actually right here.

He was talking about how if an artist has say 100,000 fans, then you can always find a way to double that. Then triple that, if you got to 100,000 or even only 50 fans you can always find ways to attract more.

So that's sort of what they're doing for him. How old is Young Thug anyway? Let's see. Born Aug 9, 1991. You would be pretty awe struck chilling around Birdman too. Especially if you came from nothing like he did. Check out his old IG pics and the busted ass apartment he lived in.

In a matter of like 2-3 years he rose up to everybody knowing him, it wasn't like that in Wayne's era without social media and all that. Thug got the fame a lot quicker.
