"Royalties" aren't being paid. That's a certain percentage of the income made from the song through radio play, album sales, single sales, and digital sales.

Not the instrumental.

And i thought the whole I Feel Like Dying thing was done with? The song got hacked and leaked, and he never made money off of it. And him doing it live didn't call for royalties i thought :/

I think the case was that Waynes use of I Feel Like Dying was commercial in nature. She claimed he was using it to enhance reputation and popularity to sell tickets and records.
Part of the case was that it was on waynes official myspace also.

Since it's court, they went over the top and say that a large chunk of his popularity is due in part to his use of the unlicensed song.

a rap song is nothing without a good beat
those producers work hard too and they need to get there cash too.
but weezy says somewhere ( i think nino brown 2) that he raps over others beats, because you need to pay the producers and shit.
They can better pay producers than blowing money

and we all know birdman always raps about being broke, so maybe thats the reason he never pays them

Lol i feel like just imagine ur an upcoming producer or something you do a beat for your fav rapper, idol, hottest in the rap game and one of ur biggest dreams come true the song is a hit he goes on tour with it its a club anthem and then the guy doesnt want to pay you... thats fcked up lol
