Uhh - Why wouldn't he do something much much bigger for NYE? I used to live in Chi and have NEVER heard of this bar or even anything remotely close to the area. Not to mention that $275.00 for a table and bottle of Rose Moet is pretty damn cheap seeing table service and bottles in LA for NYE start at 1k-1.5k+...
