  • Lil Wayne Sued For Threatening Bodyguard With Assault Rifle & Punching Him In Head

Rapper Lil’ Wayne is being sued by a former bodyguard who claims the musician brandished an assault rifle and punched him in the head.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Carlos Christian filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles accusing the rapper of assault and infliction of emotional distress.

In the filing, Christian claims back in 2021, the rapper allegedly flashed a semi-automatic rifle inside his Hidden Hills home after the two got into a physical altercation.

At the time, the security guard reportedly went to the bathroom and when he exited, Wayne was visibly angry. After the altercation, Christian left the property and immediately called the police.

Specifically, the bodyguard says Lil’ Wayne threatened to shoot him and he sustained physical and emotional injury after the rapper was “waving a semiautomatic rifle at him and punched him in the head.”

Lil’ Wayne “committed battery against (the bodyguard) in that while holding a gun, punched him on his ear with his fist,” the lawsuit reads.

He added, Wayne “engaged in outrageous conduct, specifically, erratically threatening, assaulting, and battering (him) while holding a semiautomatic rifle.” Plus, he claims to have been “harmed, including without limitation sustaining a physical and emotional injury, incurring medical bills, and losing immediate wages and having his earning capacity reduced.”

Now, Christian says he suffered such severe emotional distress, that he was forced to seek “mental health treatment” for PSTD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) stemming directly from the incident.

The bodyguard points out in his lawsuit that Lil’ Wayne is a “convicted felon with a history of criminal firearm offenses.”

In the lawsuit, Carlos references numerous news articles describing an incident in 2008, where the rapper was arrested on drug and firearm charges. Plus, Wayne pleaded guilty to Floria gun charges connected to illegally processing a loaded gold-plated .45 caliber handgun. Famously, the rapper was pardoned by President Donald Trump and his sentence was commuted.

“I want to thank President Trump for recognizing that I have so much more to give to my family, my art, and my community,” he said at the time.

Immediately following the incident, the bodyguard reportedly didn’t plan on pressing charges, and “no visible injuries” were seen on him.

Lil’ Wayne reportedly denies the incident occurred, and his team claims the rapper currently owns no firearms.

At this point, it’s unclear what amount of monetary damages the bodyguard is looking to collect.
