The ongoing lawsuit may force Weezy to pay damages for breach of contract after the release of the critically acclaimed documentary.

It's been almost two and a half years since QD3 Entertainment released The Carter documentary based on Lil Wayne's work. Although the rapper agreed to participate in the film, he later sued the production company when it refused to allow him the authority to approve the film's content. Weezy filed a $50 million lawsuit to halt the documentary's distribution.

However, according The Hollywood Reporter, production company, Digerati Holdings, filed a countersuit against Wayne, alleging that he breached contract by refusing to appear in interviews, denying to provide video content, making deals with other production companies, and demanding that MTV Networks and Viacom have no hand in distributing the doc.

If Digerati proves that Lil Wayne breached the contract, he may be ordered to pay damages. Both parties must go back to court to present evidence and arguments regarding the possible breaches of contract.

Lil Wayne is currently filming his own documentary for the I Am Music II tour.

Obviously Wayne doesnt want an image of someone he no longer is being promoted and in a quite negative way... he's not anything like that now.
"If thats how your fans see you now, then thats who you are to them, now"

But these guys obviously dont give a shit they just want the money.

The Carter Doc is the best film/video project Wayne has ever been involved with.
I know people who didnt like Wayne who were like "Alright, I'll sit down and watch this." and sat through it. I don't think a non-fan could sit through any of the Nino Brown series.
Also (I thought this was said back in 2009) but YMCM didnt get "Final Cut/Final Approval" rights on the film from the beginning, which is why they had no case against the film even back then.
