Re: FR3SH Take: Why 'Tha Carter IV' Failed (REVIEW)

I just used up all my "Thanks" lol. I was about to thank you too TyIquan

I feel if Sorry 4 The Wait (minus one or two tracks) was released in 2007 it wouldn't be "hated" as it is now.

I just got one suggestion - none should test him

IMO and experience, the people giving it mediocre reviews or hating on the album are people who have only heard the standard 15 song version; the 6 bonus tracks take the album over the top IMO. I know that I wouldn't be as big of a fan of the album without these 6 extra tracks. I just don't understand how people rate/dislike the album without listening to all of the tracks; whether they're called "bonuses," "exclusives," "OAT," doesn't matter, they're a part of the album so rate it as a whole or don't bother at all. If you listen to all 21 songs this is a very good album and the best rap album of the year so far. I don't consider these people haters, I just don't value their opinions b/c they haven't listened to almost a third of the album.

Naw bruh. I've been listening to it lately, and it's really underrated. It really should have been on the album. I added it to the album in my iTunes. It's really a dope song with dope lyrics. It's one of those songs that proves Wayne doesn't NEED to rely on punchlines. His swagger and flow delivers.

Lil Wayne, Drake, Chance the Rapper, Skooly, Rich Homie Quan, 2 Chainz.

Pretty solid review actually. Dude sounds sincere and isn't just pointlessly hating. I agree for the most part.

That song was pretty old, and Wayne wants new shit for C4. But there could be a Dear Anne, pt. 2 for Swizz Beatz' album.

carter 4 not fail it's still good and to me it's better than c3 and c2 , its many good songs and great lyrics and great instrumental
And there's no talk trash about ( Mega Man , So Special , 6 Foot 7 foot , john , she will , hot to love , its good , mirror , outro nightmares of the bottom , president )
And The trash It's Carter 2 Was Fail

I love how there are so many reviews coming out about how bad Tha Carter IV was and why it's failed and this and that, but then he is getting projected sales of nearly 1 million, whilst stores are selling out. Speaks for itself really.

I agree on that. For me it was just one of those songs that lost replay value real fast. It was good enough for me to download and keep though so I don't despise it or anything lol
