Lil Wayne shocked his naysayers earlier this week when his ‘Tha Carter IV’ album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and now he has topped the United World Chart. The rapper, who recently scored 18 nominations at 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards, may have missed the 1 million mark in the US but he easily outsold that figure worldwide.

‘Tha Carter IV’ entered the chart with 1.03 million copies sold. This marks Lil Wayne’s second highest first week sales behind the 1.05 million of his ‘Tha Carter III’ in 2008. However, the sales of ‘Tha Carter IV’ are far from the being the largest of 2011 as Lady GaGa’s ‘Born This Way’ sold over 1.92 million units in May.

It looks like C4 didn't sell much outside the US, maybe because in many countries it was available later.

I think it would have sold better if it had been available worldwide at the same time as in the US.

^He is allowed he can get permission. He went to Canada on Im Still Music. Its whether the country will let him in.

Wayne needs to come tour in Europe man. Damn.

This kinda makes me wonder how many copies the label did buy hahaa. You know they wouldn't care about wordwide sales, just US. And it's weird that after all the selling out tour wise Wayne would do over there, he still only sells like what 40K outside the US?

c3 sold decent in europe, because lollipop was such a smash hit...but for example here in germany not one single was on the top100 from c4
also c4 charted at #14 in germany

Went to two music stores today, the one didn't have Tha Carter IV, the other only had the standard version

c3 sold decent in europe, because lollipop was such a smash hit...but for example here in germany not one single was on the top100 from c4
also c4 charted at #14 in germany

But it doesn't matter about singles on this album. Fans will buy it regardless. Look at all these little anne's on this forum from Europe who became fans of Wayne because of Lollipop and now support his every move. Why did he sell so low over there? Rofl. Makes no sense.

I'm from Denmark, and I have seen C4 here the 28th

I have not yet seen a C4 music video on danish television , but I remember them playing the heck outta A Milli, Got Money and Lollipop so that might be one of the reasons.. but that's only Denmark.. dunno about UK, Germany etc.
