Lil Wayne is an in demand performer with fan bases across the globe and in December he’s bringing his worldwide “I Am Still Music Tour” to South Africa.
This Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum artist will perform in Cape Town on 7 December at the Bellville Velodrome, followed by a performance at the Coca Cola Dome, Johannesburg on 9 December and ending in Durban on 11 December 2011. Visiting our shores for the first time, this is a major coup for the South African live music scene and for local promoters Canoc Productions who recently brought Trey Songz to this country. This year alone, Lil Wayne was named one of Forbes Magazine’s top earning rap stars, Rolling Stone Magazine’s “Hip-Hop Kings,” and he recently performed on MTV Network’s coveted and legendary “Unplugged” series. Lil Wayne holds the record for the most Top 100 Hits by a Rap Artist with 64 hits between 1999 and 2010.
