As great as it would be to see Wayne win another 5 Grammys it just doesn't seem likely. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy deserves Best Rap Album. I'd really like to see Nicki and Drake take home at least one Grammy a piece.

Let's see here: Which has more weight? The opinions of millions of music listeners or the opinions of a selected hundred/thousand reviewers and GRAMMY Association members? Obviously, we, the millions of music listeners, represent a greater quantity of the music industry, and the GRAMMY Association knows this and it will take it into account. The two biggest statistics that coincide with this chunk of music listeners are record sales and the success of singles, so let's compare C4, Pink Friday, and MBDTF.

Album Sales:
Tha Carter IV - 1,586,000 copies domestically (964,000 in the first week)
Pink Friday - 1,588,000 copies domestically (375,000 in the first week)
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - 1,212,000 copies domestically (476,000 in the first week)

Success of Singles:
Tha Carter IV - 6 Foot 7 Foot (#9 on Hot 100), John (#22 on Hot 100), How to Love (#5 on Hot 100), She Will (#3 on Hot 100)
Pink Friday - Your Love (#14 on Hot 100), Right Thru Me (#26 on Hot 100), Moment 4 Life (#13 on Hot 100), Super Bass (#3 on Hot 100)

These are the two biggest factors that the GRAMMY association looks at. They also look at the consistency of album sales and singles, reviews, impact of the album/artist on culture, and many other smaller things. Here are the winners for each category (some of which is my opinion):

Impact of the Album/Artist on Culture: Tha Carter IV (could be argued for Pink Friday)

Mark my words: Tha Carter IV or Pink Friday will win Rap Album of the Year. Sorry, but I don't even see My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy or Watch the Throne having a chance.
