Re: 50 Cent Says Lil Wayne Is Turning Into Him

In the 2003 era 50 had the same exact buzz as Wayne I believed he even had a bigger buzz because his sells, he was dropping his verses on the hottest beats in song format Weezy does the same since the drought days, 5th is right Waynes buzz is dying just like his and both 5th and Wayne lyrics went from great to decent or just plain wack, there hungers are gone there rich as shit you think were still gonna believe the shit they used to do and be impressed with what there doing now and we all know for a fact every hot rapper isn't gonna be the hip person after a couple of years look at hov, em, 5th, dipset and now Wayne there's so much more to name

50 having the same exact buzz as Wayne?

I'd love to know how GRODT would sell if it were released today. I don't see it doing over 500 first week. 50 was not as big as Wayne is. Wayne has a very varied audience. 50 had mostly the streets. How are people saying Wayne's buzz is dying when his album was just certified double platinum? Wayne's been runnin' this shit since '07 and he's obviously still going strong, like him or not.

Lil Wayne, Drake, Chance the Rapper, Skooly, Rich Homie Quan, 2 Chainz.

Wayne is still on the top. I'm not talking his lyrics or anything, but this man just sold a milli first week on his album and now it's double plate, he is in everybody's record. He is so "relevant" to the game that u can't say he fell off. In the other hand fifty just lost it, he just can't make albums that do as it used to do before, he had albums that went diamond lol.

All am saying that Wayne already working on his future, he won't end up like 50 ended up now.

That's true if get rich or die trying or the massacre was released now it wouldn't sell that much as c4 but if c4 or even carter 3 was releases in 2003 or 5 that wouldn't have sold as much artist are as good as what era and time period there in, your right 50 had the streets and a POP fanbase the streets alone aren't going to help you sell a mill, and also Wayne did fall off just because he went double platinum doesn't mean anything the massacre everyone judged it but it ended up selling 12 mill

Wayne is on icon status so he's gonna sell regardless but if his next projects aren't better he will end up like 5th

              50 is talking stupid.

But, it's kinda dumb how people are saying fifty never had a similar buzz as Wayne; he almost sold a million, right?

Yeah I know what your saying, but his quality fell off a long time ago. Hes never gonna fall off like 50 did, but still 50 does have a point.

And one day Wayne won't be on top

The Massacre is the second studio album by American rapper 50 Cent, released March 3, 2005 on Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records in the United States. Its initially planned release was pushed five days ahead to avoid Internet leakage. The album debuted at number 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling over 1.14 million copies in its first week

                      mainly because of Scott Storch

and GRODT sold over 862,000 first week

Upon its release, Curtis was met with significant commercial success. The album debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 691,000 copies in its first week.

                        And he didn't have buzz.......

He had a buzz, but it wasn't a Wayne buzz. If Wayne was as popular back then as he is now, his numbers would have been ridiculous. Do we understand the difference in audiences that Wayne and 50 command(commanded, in 50's case)?

It was sooo much easier to sell records back then...
