I honestly think that Detox will flop sales wise.....it will sell around 100k....but thats not the point...Detox is anticipated not because its gonna sell well but because its just anticipated...

Not as anticipated as it once was. I wouldn't buy it, nor do I look forward to it. No one but old skool hip hop heads and those who follow hip hop like us probably even know what Detox is, bruh.

Granted, that wouldn't happen, but sales definitely tie into anticipation.

Adele had the highest selling album of last year...and her album was anticipated that much...Anticipation comes from more than if a record will sell a lot of records.......Detox is anticipated because of the years of build up...and its not only hip hop heads are anticipating Detox....last year most list rated detox as most anticipated......if an artist is away from his craft for a while and is coming back to the scene more than likely their album will be anticipated regardless if it sells or not....if it sells lends to the popularity or the connection of the album not anticipation....sales is a minor component of if something is anticipated..

Bruh how much did Adele do her first week? She wasn't anticipated. She was a sleeper hit. That's why she sold. Her shit was good(or so I hear), and she sold because of it. It's normally popular artists that are HIGHLY anticipated. Right now we're using the word "anticipation," but it's more commonly called "hype." They're the same thang fa real. Dr. Dre probably tops the lists of hip-hop centric websites. But go into the real world and ask people what rap album they're most lookin forward to and they're probably gonna say a YM or MMG artist, Kanye, Jay, Em and someone else relevant. No one's gonna really say "Detox." First week sales reflect anticipation. I promise you only hip hop fans who actually follow it know what Detox is. Just because mainstream listeners can't name two Dr. Dre songs doesn't mean their opinions don't count. And it's a lot more of them than people lookin forward to Detox.
