So why try and be lyrical? nas is one of the most lyrical talents to ever rap and dude is losing right now. Don't get it wrong, i want carter 2 and da drought 3 wayne but i don't see any motive for wayne. He's not overly concern with being the best rapper no more. He's chilling watching these endorsement deals come in and eyeing retirement. His body of work speaks for itself. Some say carter 2 is a classic, some say carter 3 is a classic and others say he only has classic mixtapes. But at the end of the day, he changed the game and people are already following his blueprint: e.g 2 chaaaaainz.
