I get where you are coming from but truthfully when Jordan came back he was not the same beast Chicago 23, he was underperforming it almost ruined his legacy. Same with Jay.. he havent done anything impressive outside of American Gangster and fans were already calling Lil Wayne the best rapper alive when he came back. Same goes for Eminem after his rehad Hiatus, he came back and had lost a few steps on Relapse and Recovery! Same with T.I he came from jail and lost touch with new trends. .. fans moved on and now they fuck with new trap... 2 Chainz. You cant take a break from your day job and expect things not to be different upon return. Wayne is right By just fall back on the backburner not leaving entirely. He gotta hang around in the public eye.... or its over! Hip hop evolves fast and the youth aint trying to wait., they will Find a new Wayne and YMCMB! Best believe...

The best thing for wayne to do is to take a break. the best do...Michael Jordan and Jay z. Dominating a craft can become boring but taking a break can bring the hunger we want back. Jay came back and still dominated rap and Jordan came back and won three more rings.

I would rather see Wayne just stop rapping and skate till he's ready to really rap again than him keep rapping and not care about it.

I feel ya man ya got some great points in there and tbh from the interview it almost sounds like Wayne is ok with them to start moving on ya know. He 's been in the game 20 yrs and relevent about 7yrs and superstar 4yrs. He's had his time at the top and thank goodness he can pick when he's ready to be done and not when people are done with him (ex. 50 cent). I would rather it stay that way then see him keep putting out music that people dont like and everyone stops listening to him.

Anyway all im saying is retiring doesnt guarantee success upon return.. people are likely to move on to the next artist and might lose steam too.
