The Jay Z comparison is spot on... seriously Lil Wayne is to 2000s fans and rappers, what Jay Z is to 90s fans and rappers. It might take more years before everyone can see it. Most rappers who are 26 and below... will likely include Lil Wayne on their most influential rappers list than not. IMO

Example, One of my niggas always talks about how Wayne sucks now and all he raps about is Trukfit. So I tried to play him Wayne's Picture Perfect verse last week. Within seconds he took the earphones out talking about "Here he goes talking about Trukfit again". In my mind I'm thinking "Wtf, when did he mention Trukfit in this song?" so I said the verse in my head.
