Carter 5 is his last BUT remember a few things:

1.) During the interview he said he will be on tour for a while off of this album (IANAHB2) so it will probably at least 1 to two years earliest
2.) He has a few albums that are still suppose to be coming out (Rebirth 2, LFLS2, proly a Young Money Album, ICFMF, also maybe a Drizzy Collab, plus bet he will have a few mixtapes thrown in)
3.) Plus he did just re sign with Cash Money for I believe it was 3-5 more albums

Im not worried, because you know he will murder Carter 5 if he really plans to retire.

PLus he been in the game for a minute he honestly deserves a break to focus on whatever the fuck he wants (skateboarding, family, etc)

And judging by the delays for albums, it will be 2020 when we get all those albums plus C5

Also I don't know if anyone is thinking this, but who will take over rap when Wayne retires? He did it when Jay retired back in 06. Maybe Drake or Kendrick? Meh I'm thinking too far ahead.

Great interview. It was long too, like Ill say 40+ minutes. Wayne speaking great things, he named alot of songs on the album...producers...features. Kanye packaging the album (Y'all already know shit gonna be dope), Feb 19 is the date. shit looks crazy.

But damn....Wayne definitely showed us he doesn't want to be a rapper no more. Tha Carter 5 is his last album for sure, and this time you can tell he is being honest. It just hurts, coz I think it would be hard for me to not hear new shit from Wayne....been listening to him since 2006...thats like 6 years, so its been in my lifestyle for so long..

But Wayne looks really happy right now....He looks much happier now with this skateboarding thing than back in 2007 when he was rapping hard all the time. So That's a good thing. Wayne always going to be the legend to me. I'll remember Wayne for life for sure.

you can tell he's very serious about it
just the way he answered the questions like e.g when sway asked him if he'd rather be a rapper or skater
or when he said that music isn't "it" anymore sometimes..

Even if he does retire, there are sooo many unreleased tracks so we'll never stop getting "new" songs. The unreleased songs will start coming out like crazy if he retires.

Who said that Carter 5 is his next album? He could still drop ICFMF, Young Money album, LFLS2, ect.

He doesn't want to be a rapper no more tho...so I don't know if it matters how many albums he releases tbh :/

Nope I think once he decides he's gone, he's gone. He's gonna push his brand, put on his YM artists, skate, ESPN stuff, get married and raise his kids, possibly own a NBA team in the future(he mentioned that a longg time ago), etc.

Maybe he'll come back a couple years after he retires with a guest verse but I think once he's gone, he's gone.

I doubt anyone in YM is taking Wayne serious right now.

That's a BIG move if he retires.

That will affect Young Money big time. That will effect Tez & Mack.

Their label will probably not agree with it.

Yeah lets hope so, he did say we would get more than a normal album on there. I'm getting excited for it now that interview took place. Shame we gotta wait till Feb, but I was so glad to hear him say he was touring world wide!! Hopefully be here for the summer!!

haha i knew it was going to be february, but thats in the middle of the month damnit.. I just realized we didnt get an album for a year and a half :/ and only about 40 features. This was Wayne's less busiest year!
