Wayne's last Carter album has to be on point so he can go out the game with a bang. I really doubt that Wayne is going to retire after Carter V, because he said on an MTV interview last year around Spring, that he signed another 4 album deal with Cash Money. IANAHB 2, and CV will only be two out of those four. Wayne should really get high & take the time to maybe write something down or think when he makes CV if he wants to make his last album good.

He should retire right now, he shouldn't fuck up his legacy with stupid albums. He's already fucked up his mixtape legacy a lil bit with S4TW and his album legacy took hits with Lights Out and Carter IV.

His only bad mixtapes are S4TW and Dedication 3. Both of which he redeamed himself after with D4 and No Ceilings respectively.

When Tha Original CIII leaked, that shit probably shook the foundation over at Universal and Young Money Entertainment. I'm pretty sure it devastated Wayne. How many years of work was that album after Tha Carter II?

I dont think retiring will help his music, he might actually lose touch with the game. What Lil Wayne needs.. is to take Hip Hop seriously once again, which he already started doing since D4. He should just release a super dope album with C5 and have fans begging him to stay... thats my two cents.

No Ceilings was dope, but D3 and D4 ruined the Dedication series for me. His mixtape game was flawless until D3, S4TW & D4 (all my opinion)

We all know CV will probably be delayed as much as Detox...However I hope Wayne gets Jay z or at least someone who will be honest with him on whats dope and what isn't...Wayne has to know that if he truly plans on retiring after CV it will have to meet expectations higher than anything he has ever done before. He cant afford to go out on a decent album that doesnt meet the unearthly expectations we will have for it. Also I think leading up to CV they should put out mixtapes weekly or monthly of unreleased music. Just imagine CV has the potential to do the 5 mil. in a week like Wayne wanted with CIV.

The Drought Is Over 2, Lollipop, and Rikers Island put the three biggest dents in Wayne's career.

If The Drought Is Over 2 never came out, those epic songs would be on the album probably...or they would never have come out..idk what to say about this

If lollipop didnt come out, he woundt be as famous as he is now, and i would never have found him out , Lollipop was a plus .

On D3 his verses were flawless, its his team that brought it down. S4TW is the one where he messed up his mixtape game

There are 1 thing that Wayne needs to be back on the top,

Matter of fact, you are absolutely right about D3. Wayne's verses on there are still quotable to this day, I just fuckin hate YM and they did take over that tape. My opinion of D3 has officially been changed by you're post, but we still don't have a Wayne only version tho
