On what Super Bowl visitors should do in New Orleans:
“Of course, Bourbon Street. Go eat somewhere nice. I don’t know where everybody else likes to eat but I like to eat at the Praline Connection. I don’t eat the pralines from there, I like to eat. And I’m a big beignet lover, so go to Café du Monde, get some beignets. And this time of year, you can probably catch a parade or two – and you know what you got to do for those beads, baby. You better cover them kids’ eyes.”
On his favorite parade:
“Zulu is my favorite parade. My mom’s in the Zulu every year. You got to see how crazy she looks.”
On the cover art for his upcoming album I Am Not A Human Being II, designed by Kanye West’s Donda company and revealed earlier today, February 1:
“(Kanye) said, you know, man, let me do your cover. I saw the cover and I approved it. He had an explanation behind it – he said, he chose the moth butterfly thing because it has so many different stages of life, and it goes through so many forms and changes, and no one can figure it out, and it’s always beautiful. At a time it’s ugly and at a time it’s beautiful too. And that’s me.”
On the album itself, due out March 26, 2013:
“I have a lot of guests on the album. That’s what’s unusual about the album. I’m usually a two or three feature-type guy. But this album, I have a lot of features because I have a lot of friends, a lot of people that wanted to help out. I just appreciate them all. And I have a lot of different production on it too. I got Juicy J, David Banner, Soulja Boy – and that’s the production.”
On what he’s been listening to, including one of the most famous metal bands ever:
“Honestly I don’t listen to music. I watch skate videos all day. If I listen to something it’d probably be Anthrax, there’s a group called Anthrax - Keith Sweat, Anita Baker, something like that. Oh, you know what I have been listening to a lot lately? Too $hort.”
