Weezy's camp says he won't sell cars, house to pay The Carter producer.
Lil Wayne won't part ways with his possessions just to pay off a measly $3.4 million lawsuit. Now that his lawsuit against producer Quincy Jones III (aka QD3) has been moved to the state of Florida, Wayne's assets were said to be up for grabs.
Not true, says Weezy.
Sources close to the rapper deny that his $11 million Florida mansion, a $1 million Bugatti or any of his other luxury toys will be used to cover the judgement. They further stated that Wayne is worth $100 million and can easily afford to settle the lawsuit — even though he hasn't done so.
The legal mess started when Weezy sued QD3 over the way he was portrayed in The Carter, a documentary about his life. Jones responded with a countersuit claiming that the YMCMB rapper stiffed him out of potential profits by boycotting the project.
A California jury sided in QD3's favor, ruling that Wayne must fork over the money.
No word yet on when he'll actually settle the debt.
