, Exactly. I learned about Emmett Till in like 5th grade. My teacher taught us a helluva lot of black history stuff that year. She had us watch His funeral(not whole) and eyes on the prize etc.

I read and after that I figured that the line was not on place and should not have been said in song. But it's not the end of the world. They made so much out of it..

That line was not educational but it lead people to get educated about Till subject, so I get what Future was saying.

And if this is something you're learning in school than you are totally fucked up. This should be known to every human being in USA without schooling. So many even more brutal kills all around the world but no one is learning that stuff in school. Whole Emmit Till case is too pumped up.. #NoDisrespectToTillFamily #DontSueMe
This sounds ignorant TBH. This (for us african americans) was a major event in our long struggle to gain civil rights. This murder had a reason behind it, and it was basically about him being black. We were fighting for rights and this was a pivotal point on our road to where we are now.

I know you guys are Wayne fans, but he was in the wrong. Period. I don't see how anyone who is educated on this matter can take Wayne's side. Stop the blind fanboyism.

And the amount of people in this thread oblivious to this situation still replying and taking up for Wayne is insane.

Read my post again. I never said Wayne line was educational and I didn't say it was good that he said it.. it was wrong and bad and shouldn't have said that, I already wrote that.

Of course it's a major event and I respect it. I'm not going to argue over this because you obviously know much more than me in this subject.

I apologise, but I don't think I need to, I just think you misunderstood me.

how you can blame the kids for not knowing who emmet till is? blame the media or school system who dont inform about it, kids dont just randomly google black history or sth. and find out about emmit till
