Ludacris albums sold more, Kanye's albums sold more, Wayne only has 3 albums out of 10 that has sold 2 mil or more.... Ludacris has 2 albums sell over 3 mil, 2 albums sell over 2 mill, a platinum album and 2 gold albums......Kanye got 2 albums sell over 2 mill, 2 albums sell over a mill, a gold album and an album sell over 3 mil.....................theres more artists who's albums have sold more than Wayne so I don't see how Wayne is considered the best

Oh well yeah but I'd be happy selling 15m copied lol. I don't think Lil Wayne is the best, just most people on this site do. Kanye, Jay Z, and Eminem have sold more albums, won more Grammies, and haven't fallen off hard as Lil Wayne. I don't hate Lil Wayne or anything but he's definitely not the best. People say IANAHB2 didn't sell well because people don't buy music as much as they used to but Eminem's Recovery came out in 2010 and by late 2011, it sold more than 10m copies. Also, Eminem has sold more than 100m copies.

Sales shouldn't determine if an artist is one of the best or not.

Kanye, Jay-Z, and Eminem got into the spotlight/big before Wayne did. Wayne didn't really get huge until around 07ish even though he started at the same time/before Kanye/Eminem. Kanye, Eminem, and Jay-Z were big before that. Most of Wayne's best work was BEFORE he got big. If his best work was at a time when he was huge, he would've won more Grammies.

Wayne still has the hardest work ethic of any of them, it just so happens that his best stuff was prior to getting huge, with the exception of songs such as Misunderstood, Dr. Carter, Gossip, Tie My Hands, etc.

And each of them fell off, reason why it feels that Wayne has is because we know what he's capable of and we know what he could produce. Idk if we could relate this and blame it on Cortez Bryant since it was said by one of Wayne's producers for C3 that said Wayne's albums (I think he was talking about Rebirth) could've been much better and said something about Wayne making so many dope songs for it, but he doesn't necessarily set his album up himself. It's not Wayne's fault completely. I mean sure he could just not make those kinds of songs in the first place, but he likes having fun.

I'm sure Wowzers off of IANAHB2 was fun for him to make.. but Cortez ended up having that on the album as opposed to something like I'm Good ft. Meek Mill.

I feel if Wayne had complete 100% control of what is placed on his albums he could've dropped so many more jewels after C3.

Definitely agree that sales number do not equate to skills on the mic or making good music. Two talents Weezy has in spades.

for an old guy like me its been great to start following someone in '98 and still be able to look forward to getting some brand new fire not even a few days ago. Hopefully people keep supporting so he keeps producing

& nobody is ever touching Em sales wise lol.
Michael Jackson and The Beetles both have albums that have almost gone 3x Diamond in the United States
Last time I checked they were both at 29 million, they may have gone up now though
And that's just for one album
