Before we get to see the refined talents of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez this Saturday, we can expect the usual sensationalized spectacle.
After the undercard fighters compete and the celebrities take their seats, Mayweather will walk to the ring amid fanfare and some popular musical stylings. While we can't say how the fight will end or who will leave the ring triumphantly, we can make an educated guess that Lil Wayne will be by his buddy's side before the bout.
The 36-year-old boxer was on the Sirius/XM air with DJ Whoo Kid recently and spoke a little bit about his relationship with 50 Cent. He was also asked how he planned on entering the ring for his big title bout. While he didn't confirm anything, he did offer, "We don't know who's going to bring Floyd Mayweather out, but most likely Lil Wayne, baby."
He continued with praise for his pal. "Right now Lil Wayne is holding the torch in the rap game." You can hear the interview below, which does contain some NSFW language.
