If your talking about artists and their voices on award shows, it's because of television. They don't use their own equipment for television especially award shows, they use the shows...

So they dont sound like they would in concert and of course in the studio. Television plays a huge difference in audio.

You could barely hear Chris brown, singing on the televised show, but if you watch Instagram videos of him last night, you can definitely hear him clearly. It's all TV…

Award show voices are completely different than their own concerts cause it's not their own set-up.

The set ups are made for singing, not rappers. So of course Wayne is going to sound rough on amps and equipment that is set up for Lionel Richie and John Legend.

Same with past award shows Wayne has been on... They don't get to use their own stuff.
