Lil Wayne Suing Birdman?

Lil Wayne puts his money where his mouth is, demanding Birdman pay him $8 million and free him from Cash Money.

After almost two months of Lil Wayne complaining about his record label, it looks like he's finally doing something legal about it. The Cash Money/Young Money MC will target CEO Birdman in a suit that will ask for both $8 million and Wayne's freedom from the label.
TMZ reports that Birdman owes Lil Wayne that $8 mil as an advance for Tha Carter V that hasn't been paid yet. In addition to this, Wayne is alleging that Birdman is violating their contract by continually withholding release of the project.





Was hesitant to post this because TMZ is the original reporter, and they've said a lot about this situation already that hasn't really been true or confirmed....so what do you guys think?

8mil actually seems like a small amount after everything that's gone on, I'd bet BM owes him more than that, but that's all that he can legally prove is owed. Then again it's TMZ so I'm not putting any faith in this til a more reliable source backs it up.

so if he wins this that would only free him personally right? He d still have to go back to court to get YM the Nicki and drake out?
