im wondering why they changed their mind

Might've been because of the backlash. Or maybe Wayne gave the verse for free, but Birdman & Slim wanted money. Or maybe Birdman & Slim did it so they now say in court that they've helped Wayne's career or something by letting him keep the song on the album.

Nah, I think this is on Mack "President of YM" they probably came to an agreement to either split the money or come up with a deal. Similar to the "No Mercy" track being dropped by CM this Lillard track already has publicity so thats probably why there was a discrepancy in the biginning.
