Crazy theory and it probably aint the case but what if Wayne & his camp realized that Tune was at the top the game when he was releasing a SHIT ton of music weekly... So to recreate that sort of production they created a reason that Wayne couldn't release anything for a while giving him time to stock pile a shit ton of music and drop it all at once.... On top of everything they made it seem like it wasnt Waynes fault nothing was dropping so the fans understood.

Hmmmmm very interesting he could pull an 06-08 Weezy right now and just start releasing shit left in right since he was the first one to do it and then people copied him cough* Future cough* Gucci... and if he has a bunch of gems he'll become on fire again, cus at the end of the day it doesn't matter cus anything Wayne ever drops people whether they don't like him right now or not are always gonna check for it.
