Lil Wayne says he can drop "Tha Carter V" whenever he wants!

Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V is still awaiting a release date, but Weezy says the power is in his hands. In a new interview, Tunechi addressed the oft-delayed album’s status.


“Of course you’re going to see Tha Carter V,” he told Q93. “I just don’t want to put it out the wrong way. Honestly, I can do what I want at any time. The fans deserve it to be right and that’s how it’s gonna be. I’ma make sure it’s right. I can drop whatever I want to drop. That’s why I keep dropping whatever I want to drop. But I’m not gonna give them Carter V.”


Weezy’s statements come amidst his ongoing legal battle with Birdman. Wayne is suing his label Cash Money Records for $51 million, demanding that they pay him before he will release Tha Carter V.


When asked if he’s still tinkering with the project, Wayne said that it’s all wrapped up and ready to go. “Carter V is done,” he added. “It’s on the shelf, just ready to drop…Carter V is ready to be listened to. It’s just gotta be listened to the right way and like I said, I’m not gonna give it to them wrong.”

Weezy, who is currently on the “World Wide Weezy Tour,” was also asked whether he feels nervous about President Donald Trump while traveling abroad. “There’s no nervousness at all because I feel like I’m so far away from anything that gotta do with that,” he said. “That’s way left. Any fan of mine already know Wayne ain’t got anything to do with it.”


Finally, Tunechi spoke about his upcoming third annual Lil Weezyana Fest, which is set to take place Aug. 25 in New Orleans. Gucci Mane and Wayne will co-headline this year’s show, which will also include appearances from Young Boy NBA, Rich the Kid, and Kodi Shane. Plus, Weezy said, “there will be guests and they will be very special.” Asked if Nicki Minaj will hit the stage, he added: “If she feel like it.”

yeah i dont get it, i remember when he tweeted new tour and new muzik this year, everybody was hyped af and all we got so far was the in tune we trust ep.
It was nice tho but i dont know what he is waiting for, he just needs to drop cv and buzz for weezy will rise again.

Sucks being a real Weezy fan

Funeral D6 C5 Velvet hes been telling us these projects been done since 2016 and hes not giving us any of it lol hes still waiting birdman and the fact that the year is almost over and absolutely no update on the Cash Money case. Ima die hard wayne fan been down for over 10 years but its sad to say we'll never get Funeral or Velvet we probably never hear D6 even tho its a free mixtape i dont understand why hes holding the stuff he planned to release free and he says he'll give us the carter 5 at the right time lol the right time been passed Tune literally nobody checkin for wayne no more his youtube videos can bareley touch a million views and you thugger lil fruity yatchy and them gettin millions of views in 2 days it just took loyalty almost a month a video to drop just to him 1 million views people are moving on from Wayne this drought is hurting us and its hurting him bcuz its possible when C5 drop alot of ppl wont either know about it bcuz they stopped checking for it or they just gave up on a album that was made for 2014 not 2017 or 2018
