Originally posted by jhoya101 View PostBro Carter V did 480ish thousand first week. AND THAT WAS THE CARTER V. The most anticipated album in recent years and it’s a Carter Album. If Wayne drops an album called Funeral not part of any series, chances are it does considerably less than The Carter V. I would be shocked if it did more than 200k. I’m guessing around 90k which is considerably less than thugger is projected to finish. Once again I could be wrong but if Funeral doesn’t do more than 150k Thugger will be outselling Wayne in 2019. Considering Thugger does reach it
People didn’t even think C5 would sell lol. I’ll bookmark your stupidity and quote you when the next album comes and outsells Thug’s career again.

It might do a hundred. Give or take 25k, which at best would be right at where thug would sell if the album underperforms the next few days. I mean please Wayne prove me wrong, I just don’t see it, C5 was waited on for 5 years, following two albums that both dam near did a milli in the first week. With probably the most memorable album series ever. With hits still being played off all of em. AND PROMO It would be shocking if it did half of that which would be around 240k. I’m thinking maybe a 1/4 of it which would be around 120k which still would mean thug most likely outsells Wayne. It has virtually no promo. Like yeah if people here Wayne drop a project it will get plays but IANAHBII barely topped 200k. With 3-4 major hits and still very much in the heat I waynes commercial peak. He was still prob the biggest artist in 2013 and barely topped 200k with an album that already had a name for itself. A new Wayne album in 2019 called Funeral prob does 100k at best.

C5’s hype has long been fell flat before Wayne came and actually gave a release date. Wayne was the hype, and he will always be the hype. Selling 480k first week is amazing, Scorpion did like 700k and Drake is the biggest artist in the world right now.

Funeral is going to sell more than Thug album due to the tour that Wayne is doing now with the tour ticket count as a Album sale plus Wayne has huge fan base compare to Thug’s. People always going to check for his music especially his haters so I want y’all to keep that same energy when Funeral does 250k-390k in the first week without any promo or single before the album drops
