BREAKING: Lil Wayne could face Christmas in jail

Rapper Lil Wayne flew into Miami on Monday aboard a private jet that was stopped by federal agents at Miami-Opa locka Executive Airport, according to three law enforcement sources.

Agents had received a tip about drugs possibly being transported and, as of late afternoon, were obtaining a search warrant from a Miami federal judge to inspect the aircraft, the sources said.

It was not yet clear whether any contraband was aboard or whether anyone was going to be charged. The federal search, which included investigators with the FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and other agencies, was getting underway Monday evening. Miami-Dade police officers were also part of the search squad.

If anyone is charged, the person could face a Christmas in federal custody. Under normal protocol, anyone charged would be taken to the Federal Detention Center in downtown Miami and would have a first appearance in federal court on Thursday. The federal courts are closed Tuesday and Wednesday for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

lol stop it. Tez was in court and on national TV (Behind the Music) saying that the gun was his. He was trying all he could to take the fall for Wayne, but the court didn't fall for it.
