In that same crwn interview he said he made that song for his mum to explain it to her, not to be some suicide prevention icon and that was all he had to say about it. This interview he clearly didn't want to elaborate on shooting himself in the chest as a child and went with his standard answer to deflect the question.

He wasn't really doing it publicly. That wasn't on the air. Whoever took that snippet needs to be re-evaluated as a trusted photographer if they are going to be on shows like this. Not defending Wayne, but that's a flat-out stab-in-the-back to let that clip get out. Camera person needs to be fired. IMHO
