I was going to make mention of that. That's literally the first complaint people have about him. To me that was a one of 2 scary answers he gave.

I thought so too. Could imagine her on a song like Clap For Em

He does stick to the subject well when he wants to. Here are 11 on Funeral, and I could have added a few more. Also, some of the most enjoyable tracks are where he just bars out!

              Funeral
              Mahogany
              Dreams
              Clap For Em
              Trust Nobody
              Harden
              I Don't Sleep
Ball Hard (The subject is people and activities associated with balling hard)
              Get Outta My Head
              Never Mind
              Waynes World

probably cause c5 drained 4+ years outta him lol and with the way uproar went viral, didn't really need any more promo (and the features helped too)

It's just one of those generally accepted things about Wayne that he can't stick to a topic, just like how he's supposedly a "punchline rapper" or only ever talks about sex. Maybe because so many of his songs are just straight spitting with no particular subject, a huge chunk of his catalogue is ignored as usual.

The Young Money rapper explains his shoutout to Sinéad O'Connor, his process for making a record, and why he still loves music.

                      - How many songs you estimate you recorded for this album? And what’s the process of whittling them down?

                      - The last time I looked at…my little list of the songs we recorded, it said 72 files. That lets you know how it works. Mack’s ear is to the world. Mine isn’t. Mine is to myself and my music, my world. And so Mack knows what everyone is listening to and likes, so he comes and listens to these songs because he’s the one who will let me know like “They gon’ love this, they gon’ love that.” So we hopefully end up with the best songs out of that whole hundred thousand of them I recorded. It’s fun.
